One of the gems in Los Angeles to enjoy a relaxing day can be found at ECHO PARK. Located in East L.A- this Oasis in the middle of one of the country's largest cities- It's a great park to walk, people watch, or rest, but the best way to experience this destination is the "SWAN BOATS" in Echo Park Lake.
A landmark in Los Angeles since 1895, Echo Park is a Nature Lovers Dream. There is much flora and fauna to see and photo capture. I marveled at the abundant lotus flowers, lily pads, ducks and geese that live and thrive here. There were hundreds of turtles as well that were sunning or swimming. Dragonflies zip above the water.

The abundance of nature is truly calming. Renting the Swan Boat allows you to see the city from a rare and beautiful perspective.
You will enjoy a nice workout on your legs when you rent the Swan Boats but I truly recommend it because you will experience Echo Park much in a more fulfilling way than just walking it. Being on the water to enjoy this park is phenomenal. There is also an awesome fountain in the center of the lake. Get Rental Info

This attraction is also very popular to experience and enjoy at night.
Echo Park hosts a number of events throughout the year including the Annual Dragon Boat race and the Lotus Festival making it a Community Hub that most locals are very familiar with.
