Sushi Restaurants have become quite popular here in the states over the last ten years. It's one of those cuisines where artist chefs really get to shine by preparing their ingredients for presentation in a very creative manner. We wanted to highlight some spots we've encountered where you can experience some beautifully prepared delicious sushi.

1. SANDFISH

A releatively new spot located in Palm Springs,CA its a beautifully designed Sushi and Whiskey Bar. I recommend trying their signature rolls such as "THE VENUE or THE SANDFISH" For you lovers of Adult Beverages...the drinks are authentically unique and delicious! CHECK OUT THEIR WEBSITE

2. ROY'S HAWAIIAN FUSION

In Rancho Mirage, CA Berenice Lopez-Sous Chef at ROY'S is constantly filling orders for Sushi Rolls that quite frankly are superb in both presentation and taste. Part of the Bar Area patrons can sit towards the open kitchen where you can watch all of the "Back of the House" stars like Chef Lopez make magic right in front of your eyes. Watching her masterfully prepare her Sushi Dishes is quite a treat-especially if you are enjoying one of ROY'S Signature Drinks like the "Hawaiian Martini" or a "1988".Great Appetizers too! 3. CITRUS- DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

During a recent trip to the Caribbean,we were surprised to discover a really cool restaurant in Bavaro that actually serves Sushi-with a Dominican twist: plantains are incorporated into some the rolls-giving them a very distinct and different flavor-but yet still Sushi.Tis place offers a 2-for-1 Sushi Deal on Mondays.
