One of the best things about visiting the Caribbean among the locals is the abundance of the AMAZING FRUITS AND VEGETABLES you have access to. Its amazing to see, smell, and hold them up close- as there are differences. Avocados for instance are huge(I mean really BIG!) in comparison to the ones we get here in California and the Pineapple out in the Caribbean tastes like honey. Some other fruits here you should try are CHIRIMOYA (pictured below on the left(has a pear-like taste), MAMEY (next to the Chirimoya- very dense fruit, texture and taste similar to a sweet yam),and CHINOLA or Passion fruit-a very seedy yet sweet and tangy taste-yet the texture can take some getting used to.
DID I MENTION THE MANGOES CAN RANGE FROM MICRO TO MASSIVE?!
I LOVE THE VARIETY AND FRESHNESS OF THE PRODUCE IN THE CARIBBEAN
