If you were going to dress as your favorite fictional hero or antagonist who would you be? Halloween is no longer the only acceptable day to don your favorite hero or anti-hero garb. If you see yourself surrounded by heroes and villians alike....you just might be at one of the many Pop Culture Conventions that have evolved from very modest beginnings as Comic Book Conventions and shows. In the beginning you were considered "Ultra Cool" to be brave enough to wear a costume of any character. Even if it was homemade and dorky as heck-this community of geeks,nerds,collectors,dorks,bookworms, and the whole plethora of whatever name applied to these always eager fans of Pop Culture. They've always embraced the bold. This is their zone and its pure fun! COSPLAY has now become the reason the momentum has only gotten bigger at Comic Book Conventions. People and fans ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see folks dressed up and the creative lengths they are willing to go to make the perfect costume. you cant help but to give a lot of these guys and gals- props on their cool or customized look. In the 80's the conventions were pretty boring because it was strictly for collectors-not much guest interaction-just boxes and boxes of comics to look through. COSPLAY has brought the missing energy to these conventions and is now so popular that there are COSPLAY CLUBS that people can get involved with. Would you ever try COSPLAY? Who would you be?
