One of the standout moments of the event came from Emmy-nominated journalist and media personality Darrell Harris, who captivated attendees with his powerful story of perseverance, reinvention, and determination.

Born and raised in Carson, California, Harris shared his remarkable journey from aspiring athlete to becoming the first individual in KLAS-TV history to hold the combined role of producer, reporter, and anchor. His heartfelt presentation explored overcoming injuries, setbacks, and life’s unexpected pivots while remaining committed to purpose and passion.
