GIVING A SPECIAL GIFT TO A FAMILY AT CHRISTMAS TIME

A few years ago I learned that some very special friends of mine had suffered through a very traumatic ordeal that no one would ever want to have to endure: A loss of child during childbirth. I was deeply saddened (as anyone would be)when I heard this. Through this tragedy Rudy and Martha Jimenez have had two (2) children since (Audrey and Logan) who bring them lots of joy and big smiles everyday. The loss of their first child will always be there-no matter what.
The idea of this painting came from a conversation I was having with one of Martha's family members and it was mentioned that Martha loves Hummingbirds and whenever she sees one-she is reminded of her baby Ariela. It's usually a very rare treat to see a Hummingbird, so I thought it'd be a perfect gift to hand-paint this picture- to ensure that her family would always have their "Hummingbird" in honor of Ariela's memory. I was able to complete the painting and have it ready for the Jimenez Family for Christmas and it brought them great happiness and lots of joyful tears and hugs. I was very humbled by their response and it was an honor to present it to their family. I am truly truly thankful that God gave me this talent to be able to help enrich people's lives.
