KITE FLYING AS MY CREATIVE MEDITATION

Who remembers flying their first Kite? I remember getting my first kite as a youngin and having to run like crazy to get it in the air. Because I grew up in the inner-city...my kite would usually get caught in the power wires above and my feeling of freedom by Kite flight would quickly end and because Los Angeles has such great weather most of the year (I'm not complaining)- my kite/s would hardly make it airborne even at a nice park-for long bouts of time due to lack of winds. I didn't know back then-that it was all about the BEACH.

I didn't really fly a kite again until adulthood-but I never forgot about how many things I thought about when I was under a kite in flight. Being a creative individual my mind is usually racing in its attempts to creatively bring a solution to something-and this could be anything or nothing in particular. Kite Flying seems to ease my mind watching the aerial patterns the kite makes and I of course imagine that that's me up there in flight. It's really a unique experience to experience a sense of flight while standing on the ground.

My Uncle and I love to go down to REDONDO BEACH,CA to fly our kites. We're both from Los Angeles so this is a spot that we both grew up enjoying.

I must say-my favorite spot to enjoy flying my kite is in DOMINICA REPUBLIC. The Beaches are Amazing-(Especially in Punta Cana)and the natural breeze always puts the kites right up in the air. The City of CABERETE actually is known for KITE-SURFING- which is basically a large parachute-attached to the surf rider.
